Light and bright, our rosé is one of strawberries and dreams. Overflowing with red summer fruits, this flight of fancy is not another glass of the usual. Almost impossible to sip, so please try to savour.

Born, thankfully, second in line to a large liability, Eleanor lives footloose and fancy-full. Only travelling by balloon, with no fixed abode beyond her floating wicker basket, she never quite knows where she’ll land. But where would be the fun in that? Eleanor delights in landing suddenly upon your lawn, staying for a cuppa (or a flute) and joining any adventure you can dream up.

HARVEST

After nurturing our Pinot Noir grapes as if they were our own (which they are) we carefully hand-pick the juiciest berries from our vines.

DESTEM

The stems and other non- grape materials are removed in preparation for crushing.

PRESS & MACERATE

The grapes are then pressed and left to macerate (soften) for a few hours to take on some of the colour from the skin. Then pressed again and the juice collected.

FERMENT

The juice is fermented to make our rosé wine. The yeast we add eats all the sugar present, creating alcohol and CO2. While this happens, we wait. For months. Oh, the Torture.

CAN

After patiently holding our horses, we add bubbles while it’s canned. This brings our wine to life whilst keeping the fresh, pure, aromatic qualities that traditional sparkling wine methods would remove. Perfect.

Our rosé wine is made using Pinot Noir grown in our vineyard on the Kent Downs in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. For many this is the key Champagne varietal. Unbelievably tricky to grow, it bursts with red fruits.
