Pale, fruity and sumptuous, our rosé is a delightful little sonnet to strawberries. With rumours of raspberry and honeysuckle, this is not another glass of the usual. Almost impossible to sip, so please try to savour.

The benevolent heartbeat of the borough, with a manor house that’s less Downton Abbey, more serene sanctuary for those in need. She organises charity auctions where her homemade jams fetch outrageous sums and has a singular talent for knitting, having crafted blankets for every newborn in the county – as well as for a few local alopecia-affected alpacas. Often seen scooting round town, dishing out scones from a seemingly bottomless picnic hamper, Penelope’s charm is as captivating as her cause.

HARVEST

After nurturing our Pinot Noir grapes as if they were our own (which they are) we carefully hand-pick the juiciest berries from our vines.

DESTEM

The stems and other non- grape materials are removed in preparation for crushing.

PRESS & MACERATE

The grapes are then pressed and left to macerate (soften) for a few hours to take on some of the colour from the skin. Then pressed again and the juice collected.

FERMENT

The juice is fermented to make our rosé wine. The yeast we add eats all the sugar present, creating alcohol and CO2. While this happens, we wait. For months. Oh, the Torture.

CAN

After patiently holding our horses, we can our wine. Our cans keep out light and air, meaning our wines stay fresher for longer than if they were bottled. Fruity, aromatic and unbelievably delicious.

Our rosé wine is made using Pinot Noir grown in our vineyard on the Kent Downs in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Pinot Noir is renowned for is delicious red fruit characteristics, making a rosé perfect for British summertime.
